MEMORANDUM

Posted: March 8, 2022 09:44 AM
From: Representative Tommy Sankey
To: All House members
Subject: Lazendorfer Brothers Memorial Bridge

In the near future I plan to introduce legislation to honor the Lazendorfer brothers by designating a bridge in Cambria County as The Lazendorfer Brothers Memorial Bridge.

The Lazendorfer family settled in Blacklick Township, Cambria County, and raised eight sons, Wilfred John, Francis Henry, Robert Andrew, Paul Eugene, George Russell, Thomas William, Richard Arthur, and Dawn Edward. The Lazendorfer brothers distinguished themselves as honorable veterans, all eight of them having served in the U.S. military. Throughout their life, the Lazendorfer brothers had many significant accomplishments in their community. Wilfred served as a tax collector for many years, George served as a police chief of the township, and Robert was postmaster of Twin Rocks for 41 years. Additionally, George and his sons were involved in the coal and trucking industry.

I ask that you please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation.
