Subject: Bridge Renaming: Elk County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge
 
It is my intention to introduce legislation that would designate the bridge carrying U.S. Route 219 over Elk Creek in Ridgway Borough, Elk County as the Elk County Vietnam Veterans Memorial Bridge.
 
The Commonwealth and the nation are indebted to the Vietnam veterans of Elk County for their bravery, heroism, and sacrifice. It is with the highest level of gratitude and respect that I am requesting, with the support of the Elk County Department of Veterans Affairs, Elk County Commissioners, and Ridgway Borough, this designation to honor the Elk County Vietnam veterans.
