Subject: PVT George Holuta Memorial Bridge
 
In the near future I intend to introduce legislation designating a bridge in Pine Township, Indiana County, as the PVT George Holuta Memorial Bridge.
 
PVT Holuta was born on June 9th 1924 in Heilwood, Indiana County. He joined the Army on January 29th 1943 where became a Private in the Medical Detachment of the 15th US Infantry Regiment in the US Army during World War 2. Tragically, PVT Holuta was killed in action in Italy almost a year later on January 22nd 1944. PVT Holuta received the Purple Heart, World War 2 Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, Army Presidential Unit Citation and the Army Good Conduct medal for his service and sacrifice.
