Subject: | Modernization of BPOA State Board Meetings and Functions |
Throughout COVID-19, the 29 boards and commissions under the jurisdiction of the Bureau of Professional and Occupational Affairs (BPOA), like many others, had to make adjustments on how they conducted business to meet the needs of their licensees and the Commonwealth as a whole. To accommodate these changes and allow operations to continue, COVID-19 waivers were put in place. For the most part, these waivers were specific to address the pandemic. Through time, several waivers have been identified as “common sense” measures that should remain in place permanently. Please join me in cosponsoring legislation that would allow the licensing boards and commissions to permanently continue to:
While there are many other waivers with merit, these pieces were chosen specifically chosen because they impact each of the board and commissions and can be unilaterally addressed without opening each individual practice acts under BPOA’s jurisdiction.
