Subject: 173rd Airborne Brigade Memorial Highway Designation
 
In the near future I plan to introduce legislation designating a portion of State Route 173 in Butler County as the 173rd Airborne Brigade Memorial Highway.
 
Nicknamed the “Sky Soldiers”, the 173rd Airborne Brigade continues the distinction of honored service dating back to World War I, and proudly represents the Airborne fighting spirit wherever they serve. I am honored to represent many veterans in my district who were members of this distinguished unit, of which there are 14 Medal of Honor recipients.
 
Please join me in recognizing these brave soldiers for their service and sacrifice.
