Subject: PFC Lawrence J. Deisher Memorial Bridge
 
Raised in the city of Reading, Private First Class Lawrence J. Deisher, a distinguished member of the 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, made the ultimate sacrifice for our country on June 9, 1966. Displaying unparalleled bravery and tactical prowess, PFC Deisher fearlessly faced the enemy; his actions on that day resulted in the neutralization of the immediate threat and earned him the Silver Star, a testament to his valor and selflessness.
 
In honor of PFC Deisher, I will be introducing legislation to name a bridge in his hometown of Reading as the PFC Lawrence J. Deisher Memorial Bridge. This commemoration will not only pay tribute to PFC Deisher’s heroism but will serve as a beacon of inspiration for generations.
 
Please join me in co-sponsoring this legislation so that we may memorialize PFC Lawrence J. Deisher’s legacy of exemplifying the highest standard of service and sacrifice.
