Subject: Encourage the Development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel in Pennsylvania
 
We will be introducing legislation later this week which would amend the Pennsylvania Economic Development for a Growing Economy tax credit (PA EDGE) to include eligibility for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel, or SAF. 
 
In an attempt to reduce their carbon footprint, the aviation industry has begun to utilize Sustainable Aviation Fuel, which is an alternative fuel made from bio-based resources that reduces emissions from air transportation. Pennsylvania is fortunate to have these resources, as well as the ability to locate SAF facilities close to our airports.
 
This is an opportunity to reduce carbon and create jobs. We hope you will join us in co-sponsoring this legislation.
