                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
     2     act relating to the public school system, including certain
     3     provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
     4     schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
     5     laws relating thereto," prohibiting a student who assaulted a
     6     teacher from attending regular public school classes and
     7     requiring such student to attend an alternative school for
     8     disruptive students.

     9     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    10  hereby enacts as follows:
    11     Section 1.  The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
    12  as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding a
    13  section to read:
    14     Section 1318.1.  Certain Disruptive Students.--Any student
    15  who has been convicted of any offense or found to be delinquent
    16  having been involved in or related to the assault, striking or
    17  hitting of a school teacher shall be prohibited from attending
    18  any regular public school class but shall be required to attend
    19  an alternative school for disruptive students for the duration


     1  of the public school enrollment of the student.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
