        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           FEBRUARY 9, 2007

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Honoring the life and extending condolences for the supreme
     2     sacrifice of Second Lieutenant Christopher Loudon, a member
     3     of 4th Infantry Division, 2nd Platoon, C Company, who
     4     tragically lost his life in service to our country in
     5     Baghdad, Iraq, on October 17, 2006.

     6     WHEREAS, Second Lieutenant Christopher Loudon was a native of
     7  Brockport, Elk County; and
     8     WHEREAS, Lt. Loudon was the beloved son of Randy and Susan
     9  Campbell Loudon, proud father of Isabel Loudon and loving
    10  husband of Jacey Laidacker Loudon; and
    11     WHEREAS, Lt. Loudon is also survived by his two brothers,


     1  First Lieutenant Nicholas Loudon, who is currently serving in
     2  Iraq, and Jonathan Loudon of Brockport, as well as his paternal
     3  grandmother, Florence Loudon of Oil City, and his maternal
     4  grandfather, Everett William Campbell of Georgetown, Texas; and
     5     WHEREAS, Lt. Loudon was an Eagle Scout and a member of Boy
     6  Scout Troop No. 34 in Brockport; and
     7     WHEREAS, Lt. Loudon enjoyed mountain biking, kayaking,
     8  backpacking, hunting, cooking and photography; and
     9     WHEREAS, Lt. Loudon was a graduate of Brockway High School
    10  and Slippery Rock University; and
    11     WHEREAS, Lt. Loudon was active in the Army Reserve Officer
    12  Training Corps in high school and college; and
    13     WHEREAS, Lt. Loudon was a graduate of Officer Basic School,
    14  Airborne School and Ranger School; and
    15     WHEREAS, Lt. Loudon died from injuries resulting from a
    16  tragic roadside explosion while on a routine patrol in Baghdad,
    17  Iraq; therefore be it
    18     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the life
    19  and extend condolences for the supreme sacrifice of Lt.
    20  Christopher Loudon, who died on October 17, 2006, in Baghdad,
    21  Iraq, while courageously serving his country; and be it further
    22     RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
    23  Randy and Susan Campbell Loudon, 387 Whetstone Road, Brockport
    24  PA  15823.
