A RESOLUTION
1 Declaring March 31, 2001, as "Dr. Kevin J. Corcoran Day" in
2 Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, Kevin J. Corcoran, D.O., has served as the 123rd
4 president of the Lackawanna County Medical Society; and
5 WHEREAS, Dr. Corcoran has demonstrated sincere commitment to
6 his community by his dedication to ensuring quality prehospital
7 emergency medical care for the citizens of Lackawanna County and
8 northeastern Pennsylvania and initiating the Lackawanna
9 Emergency Health Information Partnership; and
10 WHEREAS, Dr. Corcoran's advocacy has included assisting his
11 fellow physicians as a delegate to the House of Delegates of the
12 Pennsylvania Medical Society and serving as the society's chief
13 spokesperson on patient rights and quality of care issues; and
14 WHEREAS, A graduate of the Philadelphia College of
15 Osteopathic Medicine, Dr. Corcoran has provided cost-effective,
16 quality health care to the citizens of the City of Scranton,
17 Lackawanna County, and this Commonwealth; therefore be it
1 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives acknowledge and
2 applaud Kevin J. Corcoran, D.O., retiring president of the
3 Lackawanna County Medical Society, for his many achievements as
4 the 123rd president of the society and declare March 31, 2001,
5 as "Dr. Kevin J. Corcoran Day" in Pennsylvania in recognition of
6 his achievements in emergency medicine and his community
7 involvement.
