        REFERRED TO COMMITTEE ON RULES, MAY 23, 1989

                            A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION

     1  Memorializing Congress to investigate price increases in oil and
     2     gas.

     3     WHEREAS, The prices paid for oil and gas are of critical
     4  importance to industry, commerce and consumers in this
     5  Commonwealth and throughout the United States; and
     6     WHEREAS, These prices have been increasing recently; and
     7     WHEREAS, There may be some Federal action which could be
     8  taken to control these increases; therefore be it
     9     RESOLVED (the Senate concurring), That the General Assembly
    10  memorialize the Congress of the United States to conduct an
    11  investigation of the prices of oil and gas and of possible
    12  legislative, executive or administrative action to control these
    13  prices; and be it further
    14     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
    15  the presiding officers of each house of Congress and to each
    16  member of Congress from Pennsylvania.
