        INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35,
           MARCH 15, 2005

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Recognizing April 1, 2005, as "Make-A-Wish Day" in Centre
     2     County.

     3     WHEREAS, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania
     4  is a nonprofit organization which grants wishes to children with
     5  life-threatening medical conditions; and
     6     WHEREAS, Its mission is to enrich the human experience with
     7  hope, strength and joy; and
     8     WHEREAS, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania,
     9  founded in 1983, has fulfilled more than 6,300 wishes of
    10  children across Western Pennsylvania and specifically 90 wishes
    11  of children within Centre County; and
    12     WHEREAS, The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western Pennsylvania
    13  is having a fundraising gala on April 1, 2005, to further its


     1  mission; therefore be it
     2     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize April
     3  1, 2005, as "Make-A-Wish Day" in Centre County.
