AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for the lawful
3 carrying of firearms.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 6106(b)(1) of Title 18 of the
7 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 6106. Firearms not to be carried without a license.

10 (b) Exceptions.--The provisions of subsection (a) shall not
11 apply to:
12 (1) Constables, sheriffs, court officers, prison or jail
13 wardens, or their deputies, policemen of this Commonwealth or
14 its political subdivisions, or other law-enforcement
15 officers.

17 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
