AN ACT 1 Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the 2 Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, further providing for 3 limitation of certain Vehicle Code prosecutions. 4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 5 hereby enacts as follows: 6 Section 1. Section 5553(e) of Title 42 of the Pennsylvania 7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: 8 § 5553. Summary offenses involving vehicles. 9 * * * 10 (e) Disposition of proceedings [within two years].--No 11 proceedings shall be held or action taken [pursuant] by the 12 minor judiciary as follows: 13 (1) Pursuant to a nonmoving summary offense under Title 14 75, subsequent to two years after the commission of the 15 offense. 16 (2) Pursuant to a moving summary offense under Title 75,
1 subsequent to four years after the commission of the offense.
2 Section 2. The amendment of 42 Pa.C.S. § 5553(e) shall apply
3 retroactively to actions pending on the effective date of this
4 act.
5 Section 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
