                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Designating April 2005 as "Grange Month" in Pennsylvania.

     2     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange is a leader in
     3  agriculture and community and family affairs; and
     4     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange provides the
     5  opportunity for individual expression and personal growth and
     6  promotes grassroots involvement of its members in the
     7  legislative process; and
     8     WHEREAS, Pennsylvanians take great pride in our rich
     9  agricultural heritage, and our international reputation for


     1  quality agricultural products has been earned through
     2  generations of hard work and dedication by farm families; and
     3     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange celebrates over 130
     4  years of service under the creed of people, pride and progress;
     5  and
     6     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange has remained dedicated
     7  to improving farming and rural life for all Pennsylvanians
     8  through initiatives in agriculture, education, transportation,
     9  tax reform, rural development and health care; and
    10     WHEREAS, Committed to honest labor and willing service, the
    11  Pennsylvania State Grange has helped to sustain the quality of
    12  life enjoyed by our Commonwealth's rural citizens; therefore be
    13  it
    14     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives hereby designate
    15  April 2005 as "Grange Month" in Pennsylvania in recognition of
    16  the Pennsylvania State Grange and its dedication to personal
    17  growth, service to others and the strengthening of families and
    18  communities; and be it further
    19     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives hereby designate
    20  April 2005 as "Grange Month" in Pennsylvania and encourage all
    21  citizens to acknowledge and applaud the achievements of the
    22  Pennsylvania State Grange.
