INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, APRIL 23, 2007
A RESOLUTION 1 Recognizing the Bedford County Young at Heart Games. 2 WHEREAS, The Bedford County Young at Heart Games is a three- 3 week event to be held in May 2007 which is designed for the 4 enjoyment and benefit of persons 50 years of age and older; and 5 WHEREAS, The games, which are celebrating their 5th 6 anniversary, are cohosted by the Colonial Courtyard at Bedford 7 and the Huntingdon/Bedford/Fulton Area Agency on Aging; and 8 WHEREAS, The games, created for eager rookies and seasoned 9 athletes, features a golf scramble, bowling, billiards, darts 10 and numerous other activities; and 11 WHEREAS, An awards banquet is being held to recognize 12 participation and individual achievement; therefore be it 13 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
1 Bedford County Young at Heart Games and congratulate its 2 volunteers and participants; and be it further 3 RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be sent to Mr. Mick 4 Gordon, the 2007 president of the games, to the Colonial 5 Courtyard at Bedford and to the Huntingdon/Bedford/Fulton Area 6 Agency on Aging.
