           BELFANTI, HERSHEY, MELIO, BELARDI, SAINATO, GEORGE, BROWNE,

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Memorializing Congress to enact the National Energy Security Act
     2     of 2001.

     3     WHEREAS, The United States Senate is considering a
     4  comprehensive energy policy and management program; and
     5     WHEREAS, The proposed legislation entitled the National
     6  Energy Security Act of 2001 includes within Title IX an
     7  amendment extending tax incentives for energy production and
     8  conservation; and
     9     WHEREAS, Existing tax credits encourage energy production of
    10  nonconventional sources; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
    12  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania memorialize the Congress of the
    13  United States to enact the National Energy Security Act of 2001;
    14  and be it further
    15     RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be transmitted to
    16  the presiding officers of each house of Congress and to each

     1  member of Congress from Pennsylvania.
