                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Supporting Federal legislation protecting the property and
     2     credit of military personnel.

     3     WHEREAS, In this time of great international turmoil, the
     4  United States Armed Forces are being deployed around the world,
     5  protecting the world community from terrorism and despotism; and
     6     WHEREAS, Many military personnel are falling behind in their
     7  bills because of the difference between their civilian and
     8  military salaries; and
     9     WHEREAS, The unpredictability of deployment and the
    10  difficulty in accessing funds and mail contribute to this
    11  problem; and
    12     WHEREAS, United States Representative Robert A. Brady is
    13  sponsoring legislation requiring credit reporting companies to
    14  attach explanatory notations to the credit files of military

     1  personnel and requiring future potential creditors to disregard
     2  certain delinquencies; therefore be it
     3     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the
     4  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania support the efforts of Congressman
     5  Brady to protect the property and credit of military personnel.
