A RESOLUTION 1 Designating October 2001, as "Agent Orange Recognition Month" in 2 Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, During the Vietnam War, the Federal Government used 4 more than 10.6 million gallons of the herbicide and defoliant 5 2,4-D and 2,4,5-T, known as Agent Orange; and 6 WHEREAS, Thousands of Vietnam War veterans have died due to 7 the use of Agent Orange and thousands more still suffer with the 8 cancer and other health disorders caused by their exposure to 9 Agent Orange; and 10 WHEREAS, The veterans who are afflicted by, but who have not 11 died from, Agent Orange must also live with the fact that the 12 genetic damage caused by their exposure to Agent Orange may be 13 handed down through generations and may plague their
