A RESOLUTION 1 Congratulating Windsor Borough, York County, on the centennial 2 celebration of its founding. 3 WHEREAS, Windsor Borough, York County, was incorporated on 4 July 3, 1905, containing 131.18 acres, and was previously known 5 as Windsorville; and 6 WHEREAS, Windsorville grew as a village around a store owned 7 by George Anstine who also owned a 300-acre farm; and 8 WHEREAS, From 1912 through 1963, three separate annexations 9 of land resulted in an increase to the geographic size of 10 Windsor Borough, which currently comprises 356 acres; and 11 WHEREAS, During the 2000 census Windsor Borough had a 12 population of 1,331; and
1 WHEREAS, Windsor Borough remains a community consisting of 2 mostly residences and small businesses; and 3 WHEREAS, In 2005 Windsor Borough celebrates the centennial of 4 its founding; therefore be it 5 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate 6 Windsor Borough, York County, on the centennial celebration of 7 its founding.
