                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of July 10, 1990 (P.L.404, No.98), entitled "An
     2     act providing for the certification of real estate
     3     appraisers; specifying requirements for certification;
     4     providing for sanctions and penalties; and making an
     5     appropriation," providing for violations of act and for
     6     remedies available to consumers.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  The act of July 10, 1990 (P.L.404, No.98), known
    10  as the Real Estate Appraisers Certification Act, is amended by
    11  adding sections to read:
    12  Section 15.1.  Violations.
    13     A violation of this act is also a violation of the act of
    14  December 17, 1968 (P.L.1224, No.387), known as the Unfair Trade
    15  Practices and Consumer Protection Law.
    16  Section 17.1.  Remedies available to consumers.
    17     Nothing in this act shall be construed to limit the remedies
    18  available to consumers, the Attorney General or any district


     1  attorney under the act of December 17, 1968 (P.L.1224, No.387),
     2  known as the Unfair Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Law,
     3  or any other Federal or State law.
     4     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
