| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated |
2 | Statutes, further providing for restoration of operating |
3 | privilege. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 1545 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania |
7 | Consolidated Statutes is amended to read: |
8 | § 1545. Restoration of operating privilege. |
9 | Upon the restoration of any person's operating privilege |
10 | which has been suspended or revoked pursuant to this subchapter |
11 | or pursuant to Chapter 38 (relating to driving after imbibing |
12 | alcohol or utilizing drugs), such person's record shall show |
13 | five points, except that any additional points assessed against |
14 | the person since the date of the last violation resulting in the |
15 | suspension or revocation shall be added to such five points |
16 | unless the person has served an additional period of suspension |
17 | or revocation pursuant to section 1544(a) (relating to |

1 | additional period of revocation or suspension). This section |
2 | shall not apply to section 1532(d) (relating to suspension of |
3 | operating privilege), 1533 (relating to suspension of operating |
4 | privilege for failure to respond to citation) or to 18 Pa.C.S. § |
5 | 6310.4 (relating to restriction of operating privileges). |
6 | Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
