INTRODUCED AS NONCONTROVERSIAL RESOLUTION UNDER RULE 35, MARCH 22, 2000
A RESOLUTION 1 Designating May 1 through 7, 2000, as "Medicare Awareness Week" 2 in Pennsylvania. 3 WHEREAS, There are more than 2 million Medicare beneficiaries 4 in this Commonwealth; and 5 WHEREAS, Beneficiaries have certain rights under Medicare, 6 but many enrollees are not aware of these rights; and 7 WHEREAS, Pennsylvania is in a new century when Medicare 8 beneficiaries are expected to be informed health care consumers; 9 and 10 WHEREAS, The importance of education in addressing specific 11 health care issues is particularly essential to Medicare 12 beneficiaries; and 13 WHEREAS, Keystone Peer Review Organization (KePRO) is charged
