           TIGUE, YOUNGBLOOD, ZUG, NICKOL, BENNINGHOFF, HERSHEY, LEH,
           SAYLOR, HARHAI, TRELLO AND FARGO, FEBRUARY 9, 1999

           FEBRUARY 9, 1999

                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of February 18, 1769 (1 Sm.L.284, No.594),
     2     entitled "An act for regulating, pitching, paving and
     3     cleansing, the highways, streets, lanes and alleys; and for
     4     regulating, making and amending the water courses and common
     5     sewers, within the inhabited and settled parts of the city of
     6     Philadelphia; for raising of money to defray the expenses
     7     thereof; and for other purposes therein mentioned," repealing
     8     provisions relating to wood haulers, stacking of wood and
     9     penalties for stealing wood in Philadelphia.

    10     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
    11  hereby enacts as follows:
    12     Section 1.  Section 38 of the act of February 18, 1769 (1
    13  Sm.L.284, No.594), entitled "An act for regulating, pitching,
    14  paving and cleansing, the highways, streets, lanes and alleys;
    15  and for regulating, making and amending the water courses and
    16  common sewers, within the inhabited and settled parts of the
    17  city of Philadelphia; for raising of money to defray the
    18  expenses thereof; and for other purposes therein mentioned," is
    19  repealed.


     1     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
