A RESOLUTION
1 Designating July 1998 as "Rostraver Township Anniversary Month"
2 in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is always pleased
4 to recognize those municipalities which, through the observation
5 of significant historic events, contribute to the continuity of
6 Pennsylvania's great heritage; and
7 WHEREAS, Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County,
8 Pennsylvania, celebrates the momentous occasion of its 225th
9 anniversary during 1998; and
10 WHEREAS, Rostraver Township is a community of approximately
11 11,100 citizens; and
12 WHEREAS, Throughout its history, Rostraver Township has
13 benefited from a succession of civic leaders whose guidance and
14 leadership have helped it to grow and flourish as well as
15 citizens whose hard work and dedication have helped it to become
1 a vital presence in this Commonwealth; and
2 WHEREAS, Today Rostraver Township looks forward to the future
3 with the same hope that filled the hearts of its early settlers;
4 therefore be it
5 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate July
6 1998 as "Rostraver Township Anniversary Month" in Pennsylvania
7 and offer best wishes for continued growth and prosperity in the
8 years to come.
