A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy for providing
exceptional training and certification for emergency service
personnel.
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Fire Academy was founded June
1955; and
WHEREAS, The mission and vision of the academy is to promote
and deliver quality training and education and professional
certification which is safe, meets or exceeds national standards
and reflects exceptional customer service; and
WHEREAS, The academy strives to provide this Commonwealth
with knowledgeable, safe and competent emergency service
personnel that comprehend responder safety issues and
participate in quality training and education that values each

participant's time and effort; and
WHEREAS, The academy promotes and provides safe, effective
and realistic training for all facets of the emergency services,
as well as fire and emergency professional development and life-
long learning which reflects innovation and change; and
WHEREAS, During 2014, the academy processed training for
8,611 students; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
Pennsylvania State Fire Academy for providing exceptional
training and certification for emergency service personnel.
