A RESOLUTION
1Designating November 2013 as "American Music Month" in
2Pennsylvania.
3WHEREAS, Music, often described as the universal language, is
4one of the great arts and its value is recognized as a source of
5enrichment in our lives; and
6WHEREAS, The annual Parade of American Music, sponsored by
7the National Federation of Music Clubs, is featured throughout
8the month of November with the design to give due recognition to
9America's music traditions and to encourage and support worthy
10United States composers; and
11WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Federation of Music Clubs is a
12component part of the National Federation of Music Clubs and
13joins in the parade with its notable purposes; therefore be it
14RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate
15November 2013 as "American Music Month" in Pennsylvania.
