                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Urging the Governor to discontinue the practice of having State-
     2     owned real estate exonerated from local taxes in cases where
     3     the Commonwealth is collecting rent for the use of the
     4     property.

     5     WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Association of Township
     6  Supervisors has adopted a resolution calling upon the
     7  Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to discontinue the practice of
     8  having State-owned real estate exonerated from local taxes in
     9  cases where the Commonwealth is collecting rent for the use of
    10  the real estate; therefore be it
    11     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives urge the Governor
    12  to discontinue the practice of having State-owned real estate
    13  exonerated from local taxes in cases where the Commonwealth is
    14  collecting rent for the use of the real estate.
