                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for the penalty for violation of
     3     the duty of a driver when approaching a school bus displaying
     4     flashing red signal lights.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 3345(j) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
     8  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     9  § 3345.  Meeting or overtaking school bus.

    11     (j)  Penalty.--[Any person violating] A person who violates
    12  subsection (a) or (f.1) [is guilty of] commits a summary offense
    13  and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of [$100]
    14  $500.
    15     Section 2.  This act shall apply to offenses committed on or
    16  after the effective date of this act.

     1     Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
