                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103, No.69), entitled, as
     2     reenacted and amended, "An act concerning townships of the
     3     second class; and amending, revising, consolidating, and
     4     changing the law relating thereto," further providing for
     5     contracts regarding separate specifications for branches of
     6     work.

     7     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     8  hereby enacts as follows:
     9     Section 1.  Section 804 of the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103,
    10  No.69), known as The Second Class Township Code, reenacted and
    11  amended November 9, 1995 (P.L.350, No.60), is amended to read:
    12     Section 804.  Separate Specifications for Branches of Work.--
    13  In the preparation of specifications for the erection or
    14  alteration of any public building, [when the entire cost of such
    15  work exceeds ten thousand dollars,] the architect, engineer, or
    16  person preparing such specifications [shall] may prepare
    17  separate specifications for the plumbing, heating, ventilating,
    18  and electrical work, and the township [shall] may receive
    19  separate bids upon each of such branches of work and award the


     1  contract for the same to the lowest responsible bidder.
     2     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
