           NOVEMBER 16, 2000

                                  A RESOLUTION

     1  Congratulating Penn State Abington on the celebration of its
     2     50th anniversary and recognizing December 10, 2000, as "Penn
     3     State Abington Day" in Pennsylvania.

     4     WHEREAS, As a college of The Pennsylvania State University,
     5  Penn State Abington provides the resources of a research
     6  university within a small college environment; and
     7     WHEREAS, In support of its vision and mission, Penn State
     8  Abington offers a comprehensive university education in selected
     9  disciplines at the upper-division level and in a wide range of
    10  disciplines at the lower-division level while offering lower-
    11  division students seamless access to all Penn State colleges;
    12  and
    13     WHEREAS, Penn State Abington has endeavored in these pursuits
    14  for the past 50 years and is worthy of commendation for its
    15  academic success; therefore be it


     1     RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives congratulate Penn
     2  State Abington on the celebration of its 50th anniversary and
     3  recognize December 10, 2000, as "Penn State Abington Day" in
     4  Pennsylvania.
