AN ACT
1 Prohibiting recorders of deeds from publishing sales price
2 information under certain circumstances.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Publication of sales price information.
6 No recorder of deeds may publish in a newspaper or periodical
7 the sales price recited in a deed if the grantee to the
8 conveyance or the grantee's authorized agent files, on the same
9 day as the deed is presented for recording, a written request
10 with the recorder of deeds not to publish the sales price. The
11 written request shall not be recorded with the deed, but may be
12 retained on file by the recorder of deeds. Nothing in this act
13 shall be deemed to prohibit a recorder of deeds from entering
14 the sales price in the general indexes of all deeds recorded in
15 accordance with law.
16 Section. 2. Effective date.
17 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
