AN ACT
1 Amending the act of October 11, 1972 (P.L.909, No.216), entitled
2 "An act providing scholarships for qualified veterans who
3 need financial assistance to complete approved program of
4 education and making an appropriation," providing for
5 veterans' preference at State universities.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. The act of October 11, 1972 (P.L.909, No.216),
9 known as the Veterans' Education Act of 1971, is amended by
10 adding a section to read:
11 Section 4.1. Admission to State Universities.--A veteran who
12 meets the admission standards of a State university shall be
13 given preference when enrolling for classes or requesting
14 admission to the State university.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
