A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Northwest Raiders Football Team on capturing the
2015 Pop Warner National Super Bowl Championship for the
"Midget" Division and winning back-to-back national
championships.
WHEREAS, The Northwest Raiders won the Pop Warner Super Bowl
Championship in a 34-19 victory over the Baltimore, Maryland,
Old Town Gators on December 12, 2015, in a nationally televised
game hosted at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida; and
WHEREAS, The national title is the pinnacle of an excellent
season for the team, composed of students from Imhotep Charter
and Martin Luther King High School, and a dedicated coaching
staff; and
WHEREAS, The team's dominant performance in the championship
came only three days after overcoming Florida's Palmetto Raiders
in a hard-fought 14-8 victory; and
WHEREAS, With their Pop Warner Super Bowl victory, the

Northwest Raiders earned their second national title, in back-
to-back championships, a rare feat according to Pop Warner
organization officials; and
WHEREAS, This marks the second national championship for the
Northwest Raiders since their program began in 1971; therefore
be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the
Northwest Raiders on capturing the 2015 Pop Warner National
Super Bowl Championship for the "Midget" Division; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
the Northwest Raiders Athletic Association, 1100 East Chelten
Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19138.
