A RESOLUTION
1 Recognizing the week of November 17 through 23, 2002, as "Hunger
2 and Homelessness Awareness Week" in Pennsylvania.
3 WHEREAS, The National Coalition for the Homeless and the
4 National Student Campaign Against Hunger and Homelessness
5 cosponsor "National Hunger and Homeless Awareness Week" each
6 year during the week prior to Thanksgiving; and
7 WHEREAS, Coordinated activities promote education, service
8 and action domestically and internationally with the aim of
9 ending hunger and homelessness and strengthening individuals and
10 communities; therefore be it
11 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
12 week of November 17 through 23, 2002, as "Hunger and
1 Homelessness Awareness Week" in Pennsylvania and urge
2 Pennsylvanians to gain a greater awareness of the problems of
3 hunger and homelessness in their communities and this
4 Commonwealth.
