A RESOLUTION 1 Honoring the Penn State men's gymnastics team for beating two- 2 time champion Oklahoma and top-ranked Illinois for their 11th 3 NCAA men's gymnastics title, the most of any school. 4 WHEREAS, Oklahoma was trying to become the first school to 5 win three straight titles; and 6 WHEREAS, Penn State came into the meet ranked third but won 7 its qualifying round and did not slow down after that; and 8 WHEREAS, Penn State took control of the meet on two of the 9 most difficult events: pommel horse and still rings; therefore 10 be it 11 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the Penn 12 State men's gymnastics team for winning their 11th NCAA men's 13 gymnastics title.
