AN ACT
1 Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, providing for electricity supplied to
3 nonprofit rescue squads or ambulance services.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 1511 of Title 66 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 1511. Electricity supplied to certain organizations.
9 Any public utility company supplying electric service shall,
10 upon application, permit a volunteer fire company, a nonprofit
11 rescue squad or ambulance service or a nonprofit senior citizen
12 center to elect to have its electric service rendered pursuant
13 to a rate schedule which provides equivalent charges for such
14 service as residential rates upon execution of a contract for a
15 minimum term of one year.
16 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
