AN ACT
1 Amending Title 24 (Education) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, establishing a procedure for payment of pension
3 funds pursuant to a court order.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 24 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 8350. Court-ordered payments.
9 The board shall establish a procedure to comply with any
10 court-ordered division of marital property involving an annuity
11 subject to this title or court-ordered alimony. The court-
12 ordered amount of pension benefits shall be paid directly to the
13 spouse or former spouse of the annuitant as provided for in the
14 court order.
15 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
