A RESOLUTION
1 Urging restoration of voting rights.
2 WHEREAS, A person who is arrested is absent during an
3 election; and
4 WHEREAS, That person has not been convicted; and
5 WHEREAS, That person is not able to exercise his right to
6 vote due to his detention; and
7 WHEREAS, Detention facilities should provide detained persons
8 access to voting; therefore be it
9 RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives urge detention
10 facilities to provide detainees who have not been convicted
11 access to voting.
