AN ACT
1 Amending the act of December 15, 1988 (P.L.1235, No.151),
2 entitled "An act providing for the establishment of the
3 Children's Trust Fund, for a governing board, and for the
4 powers and duties of the board; and prescribing the powers
5 and duties of certain State agencies," further providing for
6 funding.
7 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
8 hereby enacts as follows:
9 Section 1. Section 8 of the act of December 15, 1988
10 (P.L.1235, No.151), known as the Children's Trust Fund Act, is
11 amended to read:
12 Section 8. Children's Trust Fund created; powers and duties of
13 the Department of Health.
14 There is hereby imposed a $10 surcharge on all applications
15 for marriage licenses and on all divorce [decrees] complaints.
16 These surcharges shall be paid into a special nonlapsing
17 Children's Trust Fund, which is established for the purposes
18 described in this act. Funding for existing or ongoing services
19 of State or local agencies shall not be replaced by the trust
20 fund.
1 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
