AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, further providing for periodic inspection of
3 vehicles.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 4702(g) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended and the subsection is amended
8 by adding a paragraph to read:
9 § 4702. Requirement for periodic inspection of vehicles.

11 (g) [Exceptions.--The following are exceptions to subsection
12 (f):] Special provisions.--

14 (5) Notwithstanding any other provision of this title to
15 the contrary, a vehicle described in paragraph (1), (2), (3)
16 or (4) shall be subject to biennial emission inspections
1 until 48 months from the date of original registration or
2 transfer of registration plate, as the case may be.
3 Thereafter, the emission inspections shall occur annually as
4 provided in section 4706.
5 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
