AN ACT
1 Amending Title 53 (Municipalities Generally) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, further providing for filing deadlines
3 for the homestead property exclusion.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Section 8584(b) of Title 53 of the Pennsylvania
7 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
8 § 8584. Administration and procedure.

10 (b) Filing deadlines; renewal of application.--Applications
11 shall be filed with the assessor [not later than March 1 of each
12 year] up to 90 days prior to the general election referendum
13 vote. The governing body of a county may adopt a schedule for
14 review or reapplication for real property previously approved as
15 homestead property or farmstead property.

2 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
