AN ACT
1 Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
2 Statutes, providing for breast cancer awareness license
3 plate.
4 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
5 hereby enacts as follows:
6 Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
7 Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
8 § 1361. Breast cancer awareness registration plate.
9 (a) Plate.--The department, in consultation with the Susan
10 G. Komen Foundation, shall design a special breast cancer
11 awareness registration plate. Upon application of any person,
12 accompanied by a fee of $35 which shall be in addition to the
13 annual registration fee, the department shall issue the plate
14 for a passenger car, motor home, trailer or truck with a
15 registered gross weight of not more than 9,000 pounds.
16 (b) Use of fee.--Of each fee paid under subsection (a), $15
1 shall be deposited into the Susan G. Komen Foundation for
2 research, education, screening and treatment of breast cancer.
3 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
