AN ACT 1 Amending the act of June 5, 1968 (P.L.140, No.78), entitled "An 2 act regulating the writing, cancellation of or refusal to 3 renew policies of automobile insurance; and imposing powers 4 and duties on the Insurance Commissioner therefor," further 5 regulating the writing of policies of automobile insurance. 6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania 7 hereby enacts as follows: 8 Section 1. The act of June 5, 1968 (P.L.140, No.78), 9 entitled "An act regulating the writing, cancellation of or 10 refusal to renew policies of automobile insurance; and imposing 11 powers and duties on the Insurance Commissioner therefor," is 12 amended by adding a section to read: 13 Section 4.2. An insurer shall give a good-driving insurance 14 rating to any insured who has held an operator's license for a 15 continuous three-year period with no points assessed under 75 16 Pa.C.S. § 1535 (relating to schedule of convictions and points) 17 and with no accidents for which an insurer was obligated to make
1 a payment. The good-driving insurance rating required under this 2 section shall be the same for all insureds, without regard to 3 age. 4 Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days. B6L40CHF/19890H1154B1325 - 2 -
