                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 25 (Elections) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, further providing for application by mail.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5     Section 1.  Section 1324(a) of Title 25 of the Pennsylvania
     6  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     7  § 1324.  Application by mail.
     8     (a)  General rule.--An application to register to vote or to
     9  change party enrollment or name or address on a current
    10  registration may be submitted by voter registration mail
    11  application in the manner set forth in this section. An
    12  application may be submitted by mail or by representative to the
    13  commission on an official mail registration application, the
    14  form of which shall be determined and prescribed by the
    15  secretary or the Federal Election Commission pursuant to the


     1  National Voter Registration Act of 1993 (Public Law 103-31, 42
     2  U.S.C. § 1973gg et seq.). The commission shall provide prepaid
     3  postage for the applications to be submitted by mail to the
     4  commission. The applicant must complete the information required
     5  on the registration application and sign the registration
     6  declaration.
