                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     2     Statutes, providing for the enforcement of judgments obtained
     3     against uninsured motorists.

     4     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     5  hereby enacts as follows:
     6     Section 1.  Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
     7  Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
     8  § 1776.  Uninsured motorists.
     9     A judgment creditor who obtains a judgment as a result of an
    10  accident with a judgment debtor who is an uninsured motorist
    11  may, where the judgment debtor fails to pay any installment as
    12  specified by an order under section 1775 (relating to
    13  installment payment of judgments) or otherwise defaults in
    14  payment of that judgment, obtain a writ of execution upon the
    15  salaries, wages or other income of the judgment debtor in
    16  accordance with the Pennsylvania Rules of Civil Procedure.


     1     Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
