AN ACT
1 Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
2 Consolidated Statutes, deleting the prohibition on collecting
3 intelligence information and investigative information in a
4 central repository or in an automated or electronic criminal
5 justice information system.
6 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
7 hereby enacts as follows:
8 Section 1. Section 9106 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
9 Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
10 § 9106. Prohibited information.
11 [Intelligence information, investigative information and
12 treatment] Treatment information shall not be collected in the
13 central repository nor in any automated or electronic criminal
1 justice information system. [This prohibition shall not preclude
2 the collection in the central repository or in any automated or
3 electronic criminal justice information system of names, words,
4 numbers, phrases or other similar index keys to serve as indices
5 to investigative reports.]
6 Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
