                                     AN ACT

     1  Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
     2     Consolidated Statutes, further providing for restriction of
     3     operating privileges for certain offenses relating to
     4     weapons.

     5     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     6  hereby enacts as follows:
     7     Section 1.  Section 6310.4(a) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
     8  Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
     9  § 6310.4.  Restriction of operating privileges.
    10     (a)  General rule.--Whenever a person under 21 years of age
    11  is convicted or is adjudicated delinquent or is admitted to any
    12  preadjudication program for a violation of section 912 (relating
    13  to possession of weapon on school property), for the unlawful
    14  possession or use of a firearm under Chapter 61 (relating to
    15  firearms and other dangerous articles) or for a violation of
    16  section 6307 (relating to misrepresentation of age to secure
    17  liquor or malt or brewed beverages), 6308 (relating to purchase,
    18  consumption, possession or transportation of liquor or malt or

     1  brewed beverages) or 6310.3 (relating to carrying a false
     2  identification card), the court, including a court not of record
     3  if it is exercising jurisdiction pursuant to 42 Pa.C.S. §
     4  1515(a) (relating to jurisdiction and venue), shall order the
     5  operating privilege of the person suspended. A copy of the order
     6  shall be transmitted to the Department of Transportation.
