                                     AN ACT

     1  Providing for the fee for background checks of volunteer
     2     firefighters.

     3     The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
     4  hereby enacts as follows:
     5  Section 1.  Liability for background check fee.
     6     If a volunteer firefighter is required to submit to a
     7  background check, the entity requiring such investigation shall
     8  be liable for the expense or fee to perform or obtain the check.
     9  Section 2.  Effective date.
    10     This act shall take effect immediately.
