AN ACT
1 Authorizing certain public assistance recipients to complete
2 vocational training without impairment of benefits.
3 The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
4 hereby enacts as follows:
5 Section 1. Vocational training as allowable work activity.
6 The Department of Public Welfare shall permit a person who
7 has received public assistance under the act of June 13, 1967
8 (P.L.31, No.21), known as the Public Welfare Code, for a period
9 of 24 months and who is enrolled in a vocational training
10 program to complete that training as an allowable work activity
11 for a period of up to one year without impairing that person's
12 eligibility to continue receiving public assistance during that
13 time period in which the training is pursued.
14 Section 2. Repeal.
15 All acts and parts of acts are repealed insofar as they are
16 inconsistent with this act.
17 Section 3. Effective date.
1 This act shall take effect in 60 days.
